"Zach and I met through mutual friends our junior year of high school. We were married on July 9, 2016 about five years after we had met.
The proposal: Zach and I both come from farming families. One Saturday in February we were both home from college for the weekend. Zach kept saying you should come by the shop and hang out with me for the day. I said eh maybe this afternoon. Well I finally stopped by later that afternoon. He had his grandfathers John Deere 4020 tractor sitting in the shop. This is nothing out of the ordinary. We were just talking and I was leaning against the tool box on the tractor. I was wondering why Zach was being so chatty but then he asked me to go to the other side of the tractor to look at something so I did. Little did I know the ring was in the toolbox I was leaning against. He was trying to get me away from it so he could propose. I came back around and he was on one knee with the most beautiful ring! Of course I said yes! As I went to hug him I accidentally knocked the ring out of his hands onto the shop floor near the floor drain! I screamed because I was worried it was going to go down the drain. Luckily, it didn’t. Zach grabbed it and slid it on my finger. We raced to tell our families and friends. Later that day I was admiring my ring and said “I love how it’s a thicker band!” And he said “it looked sturdy like you”. I just laughed and still do when I hear the story."
